'Greed was the main illness affecting #South_Africa'.

1%TAX HIKE MEANS #SPENDING_MORE.

'Greed was the main illness affecting #South_Africa', #Pravin_Gordhan.

As we are about to face a tough #economic situation in South Africa as a result of a #Tax hike from 14% to 15% announced by the #Treasury, People in government have continue to show no respect to '#Public_Fund' and show greediness.
#Ace_Magashule, former #Free_State Premier and the current ANC secretary general has found himself at a cross road after allegations of #20_million farewell party for him.

At a time where the country needs fully cooperation, #eradicating corruption and addresses the issue of unnecessary spending by the Government that has been a major set back for almost a decade, one wouldn't have speculated such hefty 20 million party for a government official.

What does this say about the poor and the privileged? does this mean We who did not have privilege to enter a political environment should remain poor and poor and those that have obtained the position continue to wrongful spend of 'public fund'?. There is no doubt that the the hike of 1% in Tax continue to impose stress to the working class and create  class in our country.

It also mean that ordinary South African will have to raise state revenue after 2018 shortfall of about R50 billion due to corruption, maladminisration, self enrichment, nepotism previous presidency was.

It just show how 1% to those in Government is nothing, but to the poor is a lot. it means spending more that usual. it seemed a joke to me when the Treasury announced VAT increase. however I started to realize how real it is after Vodacom (cellphone network provider) has sent me a massage that call rate will increase to about R3 per min ( peak) time.

It's now few hours before the initial #VAT increase start day which is 1st of April 18.
IT'S EITHER YOU #SPEND_MORE_LOSINGMORE OR #SAVE_MORE_SAVING_YOU_HARDLY_EARNED_CASH.
